David De Carolis was born in Milan in 1971. After graduating in painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, he continued his training in cultural anthropology, art therapy and photography.
For the publishing house Stampa Alternativa he illustrated and wrote texts published in the editorial series Eretica and Strade Bianche.
For some years now he has been assembling and photographing objects collected between the Maremma scrub and Chinese megastores: theaters oscillating between childhood memories, alchemical symbols, acts of compulsive crafts and reverse engineering.
Since 1989 he has created personal exhibitions and participates in collective exhibitions.
