Chiara Gambirasio lives and works in Milano and Bergamo. Her artistic research spans multiple disciplines and is unified by the visual concept of codifying reality through color. Gambirasio defines this practice with the word ‘Kenoscromìa’, a chromatic vibration in or of the void. Her focus is on points of color that appear to ‘intrude’ upon reality. Through the images she creates, Gambirasio transforms these color points into multidimensional perspective fulcrums.
She studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera (Milano). Formerly a competitive swimmer, she works both as a personal health and nutritional consultant and as an artist. She was the assistant to photographer Attilio Maranzano and the artist Remo Salvadori. She works in “Ar.Dire”, a project in collaboration with Medicinema the association “La miglior vita possibile” in Padova.
Her most important exhibitions include: L’Armonia, Manifattura Tabacchi (Florence); the personal exhibition “Istruzioni di Volo” at Museo Novecento (Florence) curated by Sergio Risaliti and text of Cristina Muccioli; “Sedimento”, a permanent work in Spilamberto (MO), curated by Adiacenze Bologna in 2021.
She took part at Bodies on stage online and at MMSU – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rijeka.
